SAN MARTÍN JILOTEPEQUE - CHIMALTENANGO

DAVID & EDDY SOLANO

The coffee roots run deep in the Solano family. Four generations deep. Concepción Buena Vista and Finca La Joya are located at 1,800 MSAL surrounded by mountains and forest in San Martín Jilotepeque, Chimaltenango, Guatemala. David Solano is a mechanical engineer and a 3-time back-to-back National Barista Champion. David is driven by passion and a love to further expand the possibilities of how delicious coffee can be. In 2017, David decided to take 200 pounds of red cherries and produce the farm's first-ever natural processed coffee. Now, his farm is processing an assortment of lactic and nitro lactic maceration processes on the regular.
